Parenting Without Power Struggles Monthly Membership Community
Ongoing access to top quality parenting advice so you can have more fun and fewer power struggles!
Do parenting power struggles drain the joy out of life?
Are you worn out from lecturing, begging or punishing to get your kids to behave?
Do you wish you had a trustworthy ally to turn to when things get tough with your kids?
We’re not meant to go it alone!
It used to be that if you were a parent, you had a tribe of caring people backing you up who you could turn to for guidance or support.
These days, most parents go it alone. And that’s not easy! We’re meant to have wise aunties to walk us through struggles over a toddler’s meltdowns or a tween’s sassy attitude.
Without a safe place to sort through our parenting challenges, we may do nothing at all, hoping the situation will resolve itself. Unfortunately, what began as a small issue may become a full-blown problem; a bossy child may start losing friends; our kids may start pulling away because we’re constantly losing our temper..
I’ve created a way to personally offer you regular access to practical guidance and support: a safe haven where we can resolve issues together before small issues become full-blown problems.
I’ve worked with thousands of parents for over four decades as a teacher and family therapist. I’ve written hundreds of parenting articles and two bestselling books. I’ve hosted parenting workshops from Africa to Kansas, Israel to Seattle.
What I’ve found parents most need is an experienced and reliable guide to help address ever-changing challenges as our children grow up.
To that end, I have created a monthly membership community that will help you have the peaceful, joyful family life you want. You’ll have support when you hit a rough patch, and inspiration to keep you on track when things are going well!
When you join now, you’ll lock in a special monthly price!
Join our community and enjoy access to parenting support that resonates with your sensibilities.
Your membership in my community includes:
- Two live Q & A video calls per month hosted by me, personally! One call is for parents of children ages 0-9, and one is for parents of older kids ages 10+. You can attend one or both calls. Ask me questions, and if you choose, join me live, for personal coaching! If you can’t attend the call, you will be able to submit questions in advance. Each call is recorded, so you can watch it whenever you like.
- Additional videos, emails, and audio between coaching calls to help you stay on track. These friendly reminders will help you stay the course week after week so you’ll have a steady source of support.
- Member Forum: Parents sometimes feel they’re flying blind, desperate for a friend to lean on who won’t criticize or judge. Our Member tribe is a very special group of like-minded, like-hearted parents who are committed to raising great kids while steering clear of arguments and drama. In the private support forum, you can interact with others and post questions for the monthly Q&A calls. I’ll also be checking in regularly to see how you’re doing.
- Special Discounts on many of Susan’s courses, webinars and summit recordings.
About Susan Stiffelman
Working with parents and children has been my passion and joy for over forty years. (I was young when I started!) I began my work as a credentialed teacher, and then became licensed as a Marriage and Family psychotherapist.
I have written the popular book, Parenting Without Power Struggles: Raising Joyful, Resilient Kids While Staying Cool, Calm, and Connected, and most recently, Parenting With Presence: Practices for Raising Conscious, Confident, Caring Kids (An Eckhart Tolle Edition.)
I still maintain a small clinical practice with in-person and phone clients, and am the parenting expert (“Parent Coach”) for the Huffington Post, writing a weekly advice column on every aspect of raising children.
Decades of experience have led me to develop a way of approaching children that fosters cooperation instead of power struggles, negotiations, and arguments.
I show parents how to stay confidently calm as the “Captain of the ship”, even in the face of difficult behavior.
And I help families deepen attachment and connection, allowing parents and children to enjoy one another, creating joy, ease, and harmony in the home.
When do the Q&A Video Calls Happen?
The Q & A calls will generally be held on the 5th (younger children) and 20th (older kids) of each month at varied times, so that people in all time zones can participate live as often as possible.
Will I benefit no matter what age my children are?
Yes, absolutely. We have strategically designed the program to benefit parents of children of all ages–toddlers through teens. You are welcome to attend both calls, or just the call for your child’s age range. The Q&A calls welcome any and all parenting questions.
What if I can't make the Q&A Calls?
We vary call times so that no matter what part of the world you live in, you’ll be able to make some of the calls in person. However, there will be a replay of each call available in your member portal so you can watch any time at your convenience. You can also post your questions in advance for Susan so you can tune in to the replay for personalized guidance.
What can I expect out of this membership?
You can expect ongoing parenting support. They say it takes a village to raise a child and this will be your village. Through emails, monthly calls and our online community, you will never have to feel alone as you navigate the ups and downs of your parenting life.
Susan does an amazing job of explaining how to get rid of the rid of the patterns that you were raised with and not repeat them with your children. Susan helped me understand why certain behaviors triggered me from issues from my own childhood. Knowing this has helped me be aware of those triggers and get rid of most of them and really start to enjoy parenting my two beautiful girls. R.T
I am writing to you from Sydney, Australia, to tell you how helpful this has been in opening my eyes to finding new ways to manage my two boys (ages 12 and 14) often challenging behaviour. I so wish I had stumbled upon this advice when they were very small but I know that it is never too late to try a different approach and become more informed as a parent, as a human being. Every day is a fresh start and an opportunity to be really present. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. B. K.
I only wish I had known you when I was a single mom with a young child. Oh so thankful it is never too late. I love your approach and everything about your work. Feeling so much gratitude for the wisdom and knowledge you share! L. N.
