Was your childhood characterized by insecure attachment, unpredictability, an absence of parental attunement, or trauma?

Does this make it hard to respond calmly when you get overwhelmed, or frustrated by your child's behavior?

Parents want to offer their children a loving, secure childhood, filled with warmth, stability, and closeness.

But if your upbringing was difficult, dysfunctional or traumatic, it's hard to be the calm "Captain of the ship" when you get triggered by your child's misbehavior.

This is normal; it's hard to provide safe, attuned connection if you didn't experience it yourself.

Join Susan and Dan for an in-depth exploration into how to heal your childhood wounds while offering your children loving, secure attachment.

  • How family history can impact your child's behavior, even on a cellular level

  • How attachment and relational experiences affect neuroplasticity in your child's developing brain

  • How parents who suffered trauma as children can learn to heal and cultivate a curious, creative brain in their child

  • How you can help your child cultivate a mindset characterized by vitality, adaptability, and emotional resilience

  • Strategies for moving away from dysregulated states (aggression and withdrawal) toward flexibility and positivity

  • How to help your child identify which pathway they're on (Resilient Green, Reactive Red, or Disengaged Blue) to increase self-awareness and resilience

  • Why aiming for "perfect parenting" is not only unrealistic, but harmful!

  • How you can show up more fully for your child, even if you did not have secure attachment with your own caregivers

  • Addressing common challenges: attention-seeking behaviors, emotional regulation difficulties, and relationship dynamics

  • Simple strategies for honoring the Four S’s of Attachment based on the latest brain and attachment research: Safe, Seen, Soothed, and Secure

Parents love Susan's classes with Dan Siegel:

"What an amazing workshop. Thank you so much Susan!  Your questions were wonderful and Dan is such a gift!"

"I love the way Dan talked about being vs. doing with our kids… having that curiosity with them, and being a mind explorer rather than a mind reader. Thank you!"

"Very grateful for the work you do. I loved learning about trauma, co-regulation and epi-genetics. WHOAH!! Mind blown. Many thanks!"
